Ortovox M1 Avalanche Transceiver

The simpler and more foolproof an avalanche transceiver, the better the odds the victim will make it out of the snow alive. That's the reason Ortovox made ease of use their number one priority when designing the M1 Avalanche beacon. The LED screen leads the rescuer through the search process. A warning light shines either green (proceed) or red (stop and check the screen for a visual cue). The digital display also gives information about the distance to the victim. Other features include tough water resistant case, distinct/piercing loudspeaker, unique harness system, warning light, search arrow with analog signal, digital display for menu-controlled search, visual display for battery capacity, and a volume control switch.
