The Machine and Light Machine Ice Tools: The tool of choice for steep, hard climbing, The Machine's radically bent shaft easily clears bulges and cauliflowers. Solid placements come easily, even when the ice gets unruly. The Machine's Cascade pick, cousin to the acclaimed Evolution pick, tapers down to 2.7mm for minimal ice displacement and unparalleled stick. For mixed climbing, go with the stout Mixte pick, which uses the same 3D forging technology as the Rambo crampon.

The removable Damper (on Machine only; not on Light Machine) reduces vibration and the "bounce back" effect while adding punch to the shortest swing - great benefits in cold, dark places. The Machine and Light Machine utilize the same proven tongue and groove system as the Rambo and the Geronimo, with a natural rubber grip contoured for a comfortable and positive grip. A built-in "nose" acts as a platform and prevents knuckle bashing. The Machine (bottom ice tool in photo above) comes complete with Liberty Leash and Damper. The Light Machine (top ice tool in photo above) comes complete with Freedom Leash and without the Damper.  Weight: 30oz with Damper, 22oz without. Size: 50cm.

Both the Machine and Light Machine are available with the Cascade or Mixte pick, and with the Piccolo Hammer or Anchorage Pick (pick used for hooking, etc.) on the back of the tool.

Freedom Leash: Simple, secure, and comfortable, everything you need in a leash. By placing the sewn loop over the hammer or adze, a slide bar allows the wrist loop to enlarge, freeing the hand. Like the Liberty Leash, the contoured neoprene wrist loop offers exceptional comfort and security.
