The Raptor represents the new generation of lightweight alpine mountaineering axes. It's main feature is an ultra light, hot forged 2014 T6 aluminum head mounting which is both comfortable to carry and super strong. A single modular steel pick unit with integral adze or hammer can then easily be slotted in and secured, allowing the obvious advantage of interchangeability and replacement. The Raptor is classified as a technical axe and therefore has full CE approval. Raptor Technical: Available in 45 and 50 cm lengths, the technical Raptor features a reverse-curved banana pick which gives surprising performance on both ice and mixed ground. The perfect starter technical tool or a lightweight axe for long alpine-style ascents with moderate technical difficulties. Comes supplied with DMM's "standard leash", and both axe and hammer versions are available. A totally versatile ice axe that can be changed between alpine and technical axe by switching the head unit.
