Tegraltex is Integral's own trilaminate fabric which consists of a microporous PTFE membrane which is laminated to an outside layer of 1.6 oz ripstop nylon (treated with Teflon DWR water repellent) and an inner layer of non-woven Nexus (absorbent fibres which will hold and wick moisture vapour through the membrane).

The result is a 3 ply material that is highly vapour permeable, waterproof and wind resistant.

The key to the performance of Tegraltex is the middle layer of tetratex PTFE membrane, made with Teflon. The micro pores in the membrane allow water vapour (perspiration) to pass through and out of the fabric at a rate of up to a liter per sq yd per 24 hours. The same microporous structure acts as a barrier to droplets of rain water, which are too large to penetrate the pores of the Tegraltex PTFE membrane.

Our research indicates that Tetratex is more durable and vapour permeable than any equivalent polyurethane trilaminate
